  2. Peacock Inlaid Tsuba. Japan, Edo period. Iron with silver and gold. 2 5/8" (6.5 cm.) wide, 2 7/8" (7.2 cm)high. Inlaid on the front with chrysanthemums and a peacock with a full tail; on the other side with chrysanthemums and a peahen. Purchased at Christies in 1986. $1850.
